an unmade bed

I walked into the room
and glanced at the bed
that main focal point
right smack in the middle
of such a large wall
with windows that frame our headboard.

The blankets were folded
so simple and tidy
like dog-eared pages
one on each side
my space, the left
and yours is always the right.

It looked so planned out
like purposeful sleeping
back lying to back
then leaving our presence
without even speaking
one solitary single word.

I recall phoning you
unfolding the scene
no omission of details
you said, I was silly
no reasons for worry,
I felt so dramatically needy.

Then biting my lip
I hung up the phone
cursing that weakness
that makes me question everything
even paranoid messages
that whisper from an unmade bed

your words paint a picture so profoundly today. When things are going well the unmade bed at my house does look different than if stress is playing a part. I completely get it.

Sorry you are felling needy today - hugs form georgia and prayers too.

I agree with the comments above.

I am in the midst of reading A new earth by Tolle. It is also quite profound. It is a marvelous compilation of a world view that has been coming to me over many years. My own blog book is pale in comparison. I commend the book to you, particularly at this time in your life.

With love and concern please continue to...

serve with integrity, care about those you serve, and share the love in your heart.

beautiful words,
beautiful photo.

a lovely thing about true love is that when we are needy, they are strong and when they are needy, we are strong.

yin and yang.

he loves you...truly.

This last week has left me feeling very open to all the pain and anguish in the world. I know what you mean when feeling so vulnerable, and I'm so sorry you are there right now, but perhaps new change is coming, good change.
