cling and climb

There are days
that we feel
as if parts of us
are growing in
two different
directions.
Your mind
goes one way
and your body
goes another.
The lists we make
don't match up
with the hours
in one day.

And don't bother
comparing yourself
with those around you
because they will always
look more accomplished
than you are. The only thing that this creates is discouragement, which usually takes away your motivation. What often appears as a weakness, ends up becoming the strength that you are grateful for. Be patient.

Don't make the mistake
of looking
too far ahead
into the future.
There are
big walls
to climb
and conquer,
but it is wise
to keep
looking forward,
taking one step
at a time,
inching your way
to the top.

Celebrate
every
accomplishment
no matter
how small.

You hold
your own
beauty
just as
you are,
unique, special
and worth
waiting for.
Let others
help you,
see their
paved roads
and then
pave your own.

How beautiful in picture and words dear.
The sun was shinning today...will you call me so we can plan our luncheon. I know how the bad weather effects you, so I was so glad to see the sun peek it's head out today.

Love and Hugs,
I will call you Tues.

Oh Darlene,

Well, done! Well done indeed! Can you tell I watched 'Emma' last night and just love that speech by Mr. Knightly. Only I changed it.

i hope you are well and taking it easy. the weather here is gross, but i guess it is the normal for winter. we had tonnes of snow, and now we are in our traditional january thaw.

send up a prayer for us this week, we could use all the help we can get, i know what the pwer of prayer can do (glad mark is doing so well).

take care and i will return. poet.

I love the way you use nature to illustrate your thoughts...just as I think the Creator did when he made all these things.

Your wit and gentle wisdom are so unique. I hope you're having a good day!

I love the concept of using the example of others to lead us forward when we can't quite see it ourselves.

Beautiful Darlene!
