Wind Starter
unrelenting winds cause
their bodies to lean
summoning circles of movement
they sway in harmony
and participate
in each spontaneous dance
gazing, I wonder
as each bowing face
is kissed by the sun
which way does this wind blow
and whence it came
a swirling mystery
joining the celebration
I stand among them
skin feeling what eyes cannot see
only nature unfolds
each sacred suggestion
of where it hails
and the eternal secret
that will reveal
who ordered this command

I LOVE the wind! Happy week sweetie!
Darlene...shame on me...I cursed the wind yesterday when it took my table, umbrella and chairs crashing into the new grass just planted. breaking the unbrella post....
then I come and read this beautiful picture of God's wind, and I say forgive me.
You are still our beautiful thinker, and poet...love you tons.

It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it? Beautiful photo, D, and beautiful words too.
Darlene - lovely poem! And the pic is so pretty.
I bet you're getting a lot done. If I could just stay off of the computer I might too.
Always thinking of you & your family. God bless.
Those last lines are so beautiful...

You always blow me away, (is that a pun of sorts?) with your poetry. Beautiful symmetry and stance in it. You had me with the first line.

love to you and hoping your semi-blog break is proving sweet and fruitful.
