The photos are gorgeous. Hopt that you are feeling better ... it certainly looks like you are and that you had a wonderful time.

What kind of camera do you shoot with?

Do you ever shoot B&W?

Oh I love that red poofy flower (I'm sure that's its scientific name). Those are some gorgeous shots.

Gorgeous post, Darlene! :) Hope you're feeling better now. Your photo's are beautiful - I love the painterly one of you especially, and those bird of paradise flowers never cease to amaze me! I love them, and wish we could grow them successfully here... not to worry, at least I can see them in photo's like yours.
Thank you for sharing these precious memories with us. Take care of yourself, sweetheart. Get that rest when you need it.
Much Love & Big Hugs,
Suze xXx

These are stunning, D. And as you said, the last one (though out of focus) is my favorite as well. The bird of paradise--I've never even seen one.

Thank you for sharing all your beauty. Wishing you a relaxing weekend.

Dearest Darlene,

So happy to see your beautiful face and beautiful pictures.

Being a quilter, I cannot but help look at some of the wonderful pics and think "wow, that would look fantastic in a quilt...

Please take care of yourself. You're not alone in that "I need a vacation at home to recover from the vacation away"... Life can be bizarre....

Rest. BTW Love the journal. Coincidentally, I am having a ball with my dip pen and Noodler's Ink. It really gives one a sense of connection with those who have gone before us, to put actual ink to actual unlined paper.... Bliss.

I do love your flower photos.

Thanks for sharing them.

btw, do you have any idea what the flower is on my site in the "another photo by me" element?

Or, do you do like I do, take the picture because the color and lighting are juste right?

Either way, your photos are fantastic.

I can almost smell them, they are so beautiful. I'm a powderpuff fan myself. They look so impossible.
