Pink ~*~ but not Tickled
It's very late Saturday night and I've been anxious all day. You know those days when the anxiety is there and no explanation for why? Well, there's always a reason, we just might not know what it is yet. I noticed myself being rather clingy to my hubby yesterday and most of today. He printed out his plane ticket and the sound of the printer caught my attention to remind me that he was leaving for a 3 day seminar tomorrow.
Ahhhhhh...that's what the anxiety was all about. Our lives have been turned upside down for the last 2 months and he was going away for the first time since Marks accident. It's times like these that I realize just what a rock he is in my life. We've been a team, emotional pillars for one another and now he was leaving.
Before I even began to entertain any "What ifs" I reminded myself that I'm a big girl and 3 days will go by rather quickly. He's excited to go and I don't blame him, I would be excited too. I'm going to miss him extra...more than the normal amount because I think we have finally been feeling the closeness and the togetherness that this recent crisis has given us.

What a lovely description of your relationship. He must be so touched to see it in print here..
3 days will go quickly and will give you time to do girly things, spoil yourself a little: movies with friends, a manicure, a pedicure, facial..
Hugs Angela
My darling, those 3 days will fly by, and the sweetness of the reunion made so much more special by your feelings now.
I hope you find many beautiful ways to fill your days while J is away, and that you both feel refreshed & renewed by the few days apart.
Sending you huge amounts of Love & extra special hugs to keep you going while you wait...
Safe trip for J xXx
Dearest Darlene
I second Suzie.
Rest up, and feel the prayers that cover you coming in from your family all over the world.
Prayers for a safe and invigorating journey for Jay.
With love, Annie
Time flies when your having fun...
So plan some fun things to do while he is gone and you'll be in his arms again, before you know it :)

Oh Sweetie ~ I am so happy that you are finally feeling that rainbow (like in your previous post) after the storm!

I say snatch up Angela Marie and you to go get some pamper time, manicure, pedicure, facial and hair then trot to the beach or somewhere equally amazing. Oh and don't forget your cameras as it would be great fun seeing some pics of you two amazing women pampering yourselves.
You are loved,
Sheila
Rejoice in the discovery of that special bond between you. Too often we get complacent and tend to take our partner for granted. After all he/she is always around.
It is sad that a catastrophe seems to be there to bring us together. Maryann and I have had our own and it will be 40 years this year. We think it is going to work for us. tee hee
My advice to young lovers, if you want to maintain that closeness, look for any reason to thank your partner. And I mean any reason, even the smallest positive action on their part is sufficient to thank them for it.
I bet you and J have been doing that for years. With Mark's situation you may be finding more reasons to say thanks.
Just some thoughts. Hang in there and figure out how you can put that anxious energy to good purpose.
Darlene, you are so blessed to have a life partner with whom you have a special relationship. Not many couples can say the same, unfortunately. Take advantage of those days he will be gone and use them to get extra rest. Remember, there is a reason for everything. This too has it's own reason so rest assured that all will be well and you will come together upon his returned with even more emotional unity then ever before. Take Care of yourself. Say Hello to Mark and tell him I was sharing his story with a good friend of my last night over dinner. My friend was amazed to hear that now Mark is back home. But what amazed my friend even more was yours and Mark's strength through all of this. You are both such inspiration to others. Much love.
I hope the 3 days go by so quickly and painlessly that you hardly know they've gone!
On Marriage
Then Almitra spoke again and said, "And what of Marriage, master?"
And he answered saying:
You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days.
Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
-Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
i am sure the days will fly in a wink :) this was an incredibly beautiful, moving post ...

hey sweetie.
so glad you've been feeling that closeness recently. this absence will -as you know- only make you feel it more :)
happy reunion
Vx
It's totally understandable with what you have gone through in the past few months that this change (even though it's brief) would cause a bit of anxiety, but what a wonderful gift that your lives are at a point where normal things like business trips, can happen again. We'll pray that the days are restful and pass quickly for you and you'll be reunited quickly.
I would feel a little pensive if I were you, too. You are still a bit in shock from all this, so it is so normal to feel that way. But you are strong. You look at the feelings and see them for what they are, and then they are not so powerful afterall.
And it will fly by, as everyone sad.

:)
Thinking of you sweetness (always)
I hope this time passes quickly for you. xxx
