Ang & I

School has rolled off your back
and now you kick up your heels
while singing a new hard song

With orchard rows behind
and skyscrapers in your wake
you saunter over this earth

Arms open wide
spinning, off comes the old
a child no longer stands

Healing light in your eyes
and new goals to make
you conquer with each step

This is
my baby
who I will be
spending my days with
I feel healed
when she is home
happy to wrap myself
up with her
and drown
in her light.

As a mama-in-the-thick-of-it, I can only imagine how sweet it would feel to have your baby back in the nest for a few days. You and your daughter are radiant.

Beautiful, smart and huggable Angela. Listen to me while I brag on my grand daughter. She makes us proud as does her mom. We cherish and love them with all our hearts. I say to Angela "GO GIRL",
attack life and all it has to offer you.

i just remembered :)

last night in my dreaming travels, i met you and your daughter.

we were all at a market fair, in a village by the coast. the waves were the deepest shade of blue and rolled in onto a small white beach. the market was up in the green mountains a little more.

your daughter got up with the band in a pink dress, and sang two songs about you.

it was touching and beautiful :)

blessed be!

She is SO beautiful! I feel that my daughter has a special light too, I love that years later, you still can wrap yourself in that light. Hope to always have that relationship with her, as you do with Ang.
luv, michelle
