"For the Hopeless Romantic"

and.....there's more......

First of all, I love that this was written by a woman and the fact that it dates to 120 B.C. Sappho lived on the Greek Island of Lesbos and only fragments of her writing exists today. I hope you enjoyed my presentation and if you did...let me know, maybe I will do it again and I welcome all suggestions.

Have a romantic day :)

Most beautiful. I would like very much to see more!! It's better seeing it written out like that rather than typed, don't you think?

Oh I just loved this, I could feel it as I was reading it.

I am such a romantic nut. Thanks for sharing.

Can't wait for more....

Sending you some love today!!

Oh, you know how I feel about your handwriting, absolutely stunning, my lovely - a delight to see it on the screen!

I caught a sneak preview of this post before and wondered if you were going to re-publish :-) - so glad you did!

One of the most interesting things about Sappho is that there is strong evidence that the poetry fragments left were those written collectively, and that the name 'Sappho' was the 'umbrella name' they worked under, rather like an artist's studio. Sounds a bit like a bloggie fristerhood :-)

lots of love to you today, beautiful, romantic Darlene x x x x x
