Revisiting "Das Boot"

Okay girls.....I'm sorry for re-visiting my broken foot, but this is my current existence and I have to address my feelings. ~ ((I don't feel SEXY!)) Are you surprised? Who designed this ugly contraption anyway? I've actually stepped on my own good foot, while using this 'thing' to try and walk. My husband called me from work today with that sultry sound in his voice, "Come on baby, let's go out to dinner tonight........" Sure, I'll wear my perfect little black dress, dragging "Das Boot" along, while walking like the hunchback of Notre Dame! Nope...it ain't gonna happen. This situation is actually affecting my self-esteem. I have waaaay to many mirrors in my house and they stand as a constant reminder that, although I've tried, I just CAN'T look cute and wear this thing at the same time! I turned down the dinner invitation and now I'm having second thoughts. Maybe... in some warped 'man' kind of way... he l i k e s the new me?

Clumsy?........most definitely

Sexy?........no

Kinky?........who me?

I'm making a phone call, while ironing my dress.......the rest...try to use your imagination...I have to.......

LOl! I'll have to show my hubby this pic D! He always makes FUN of me because a lot of the time I stand like this, with inward feet! It's just me! He thinks it's cute! Did you go out to dinner then? You ironed your dress! xo

bek~ clumsy=sexy? I have to tell you what happens the next time I run into a wall...tomorrow

turq.cro~ I'm glad we have a similar feature. Even if it's how we stand :)

boho~ thank you, even though I know you are a teeny bit biassed with me. And hey...if we stuff the toes of the cute shoes, they just might fit your elf feetsies.

I'm feeling the love Darxxx

Dar, i think you might be on to something - imo there's something rather sexy about the Vader boot - it makes your 'normal' foot look even cuter and more petite - perhaps there's an element of foot fetishism going on in your house?! i think you should dress the boot with ribbons and celebrate it's lumpen appearance :-))) work with it baby... tee hee

haha. I dont think it is that bad.
I mean people arent going to think "dag... that girl is SO not sexy with that big boot thing on her leg" they are probably more likely to think "hmm... I wonder what happened to her."

I think people notice a persons beautiful face way before a leg.
So I wouldnt sweat it!

Atleast your other shoe looks cute hehe.

Probably when you started your blog and named it "A Walk in My Shoes"--I bet you weren't expected Mr. Vadar boot, but I would walk in your shoes if it could take away some of the pain. I know how it feels, but remember this too shall pass. Love the cute black shoe by the way!!

Darlene, if you were here with me at this very moment, I totally would not notice Das Boot - simply because your other shoe is HOT! If anyone can make that thing look sexy, it's totally you!

(But I really want to know who designed that thing. If I had to wear it, I'd totally be kicking Das Wall.)

Oh, dear, you just gave me a glimpse of what my pushing 86 year old mother is going to get fitted with today. She broke her foot a few days ago and it's taken this long to get figured out. I hope this contraption isn't heavy and I hope you won't be wearing yours too much longer.
